The German Table, located in the charming town of Cole Camp, MO, offers a delightful escape into authentic German cuisine. Reviewers consistently rave about the atmosphere, which transports guests back in time with its vintage decor and cozy ambiance. Robert Gare encapsulated the essence of the experience, describing it as a journey through history, complemented by the inviting aromas of hearty German fare. The menu, while straightforward, delivers exceptional flavors. Highlights include the Rahm Schnitzel and the Jagersteak, both of which are frequently praised for their quality. Erin Burdette fondly recalled the deliciousness of the German Potato Salad, while Todd Rider celebrated the impressive Jagerschnitzel and the delightful Coconut Cream Cheesecake. Each dish is made with care, reflecting a commitment to authenticity. The restaurant's attentive service—particularly the praises for staff member Elizabeth—enhances the overall dining experience. Whether it's a casual family meal or part of a special occasion, patrons recommend reserving a spot, especially during peak events like Oktoberfest. The German Table is more than just a restaurant; it’s a culinary journey worth revisiting time and again.

Authentic German Food, Thick Steins of Beer, and Aurora of History The German Table is like a transporter. You walk through the old time screen door, with a simple front door and antique handle, and you've stepped back in time 80 years. The entirety of the restaurant is visible from the front door, and feels like you're standing in an old friends dinning room. Then you smell the building, thick with history and permanence, not musty or dirty; but that unique smell that comes from bricks, and plaster and wood floors that all seem to be older then your fathers grandmother. The menu is relatively simple. Several choices of Wurst (German Sausages) or Schnitzel (Meat thinly pounded and fried), with traditional German sides like German potato salad (a sweet potato salad, wich is what I had, and didn't realize it was going to be sweet, didn't like) and sauerkraut. My wife and I each had a Lager, served in a thick heavy stein. The service is good, the food is good, everything was good, but it's really the combination of everything the whole experience that makes The German Table something special. We came here after our youngest daughter played a softball game at the local school. If your in Cole Camp, don't pass through without eating at the German Table. It's on the left near the bank by the stop sign.

The food was delicious... I miss Germany and this is the closest I've gotten to authentic German food here in the US!! The Rahm Schnitzel with German Potato Salad is what I got. So amazing! I highly recommend this place. And the wait staff is awesome, especially Elizabeth! I can't wait to come back!

Worth the drive! We loved this place! Highly recommend it! We have never been here. Stopped by on a whim and found out reservations were recommended because it was Oktoberfest. They were able to get us right in anyway. The food was soooooooooooo yummy! I had a pretzel with house sauce and we all had the braut bar with 4 different kinds! German potato salad and green beans too. Topped it off with a delicious made from scratch apple dumpling and ice cream! The food here was made from scratch and had the kind of flavor and love that good food is supposed to have. This is the kind of place where you dream of the meal you enjoyed at random times for days so you have to eventually go back. They also had a live band.... the St. Louis Express. The staff was very nice and service was top notch. Loved the outfits and the cute town! Worth driving too. The outfits were also cute. The price was also not bad. We will be back!

Amazing experience! They were so accommodating with our kiddo. It’s a family business and it was very comforting in the restaurant. The food was authentic and delicious. Our son said the chicken schnitzel is better than mine and gave the restaurant a million stars

Good local spot for some authentic German food. Very fitting for the German history that Cole Camp has. Prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. Also the kids meals for 6 are great and include the drink and a sundae.
